Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 2026

Myvisas ("we", "us", "our") provides AI-assisted visa application support. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using our website or services, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Account information: name, email address, and phone number, provided when you sign up or via your Google account if you sign in that way.
  • Application information: passport details, travel dates, purpose of travel, passport-country, and any supporting documents you upload (e.g. bank statements, photographs, employment letters) as part of a visa application.
  • Payment information: transaction references (such as UPI UTR numbers) and payment amounts. We do not store your full card, bank account, or UPI PIN details — payments are handled directly between you and your bank or UPI app.
  • Usage information: pages visited, device and browser type, and general analytics collected automatically to help us improve the service.

2. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Prepare and submit your visa application to the relevant embassy, consulate, or visa authority
  • Verify your identity and the authenticity of submitted documents
  • Communicate with you about the status of your application
  • Process payments and maintain records for accounting and tax purposes
  • Improve our AI eligibility checks, document validation, and overall service
  • Comply with legal obligations

3. Who we share information with

We share personal information only where necessary:

  • Embassies, consulates, and visa authorities — your application and supporting documents are shared with the relevant government authority as required to process your visa.
  • Service providers who help us run the platform, including authentication (Clerk), database hosting (Supabase), document storage (Cloudinary), and payment verification. These providers are contractually required to protect your data and may not use it for their own purposes.
  • We do not sell your personal information to advertisers or other third parties.

4. Data retention

We retain application data for as long as necessary to complete your visa application and for a reasonable period afterward to handle any follow-up questions, disputes, or legal requirements (typically up to 3 years). You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time, subject to any documents we are legally required to retain.

5. Data security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access-controlled databases, and restricted internal access to personal documents. No system is completely secure, and we encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your account.

6. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time by contacting us using the details below. You may also update your profile information directly from your dashboard.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and remember your preferences (such as light/dark mode). We do not use cookies for third-party advertising.

8. Children's privacy

Our service is intended for users who are at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in their jurisdiction. Minors applying for a visa should do so through a parent or guardian's account.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
